We found a pair of the rare Mounrning Wheatear near Boumalne du Dadés. The male ist black an white, while the female appears in softer grey colors.

Another very rare bird of Morocco is the Bald Ibis. Again we were lucky and found a group of about 70 birds feeding on the ground. We spent most of the day with the birds and got very close views. The highlight of the day was the fantastic evening with the opportunity to take silhouettes against the sun.
Männlicher Atlasgrünspecht
on my last trip to Morocco I was really lucky and had the chance to take beautiful images of the rare Levaillant's Woodpecker. The Woodpecker was very relaxed and enjoyed his evening snack on the ground.
